The Turbulence Research Lab at the University of Toronto explores the complex phenomena of fluid turbulence through experimental, computational, and analytical approaches. Our research focuses on solving real-world engineering challenges and advancing fundamental understanding of turbulent flows.
Our interdisciplinary team combines expertise in aerodynamics, thermofluids, and computational fluid dynamics to develop innovative solutions for aerospace, energy, and environmental applications.

Experimental Fluid Mechanics
Using state-of-the-art facilities and techniques including PIV, LDV, and high-speed imaging to investigate complex flow phenomena.
Computational Fluid Dynamics
Developing and applying advanced numerical methods to simulate and predict turbulent flows across various scales and conditions.
Analytical Research
Creating mathematical models and theoretical frameworks to better understand and describe turbulence physics and associated transport phenomena.
